SECTIONS

Section 1 – The Bobbie Paradice Prize
1st Prize – $5000
For artwork in any medium
Artist original artworks only. Photographic reproductions are inadmissible.

Potter Macqueen Local Prize – $2000
For any artwork from all sections, by an artist resident in the Upper Hunter or Muswellbrook Shires

Section 2 – Watercolour – First Prize $500

Section 3 – Pastel – First Prize $500

Section 4 – Print or Drawing – First Prize $500

Section 5 – Miniature First Prize – $500

Section 6 – Ceramics/Sculpture – First Prize $500


MEASUREMENTS

Sections 1 2 3 4
Must not exceed 1.5m x 1m in respect to height or width and 10cm depth.(Including frame) or equivalent area (only one of maximum size) each section allowed. Weight limit 15kg.

Section 5
Miniature image must not exceed 10 cm x 10 cm or equivalent area.
Frame size not to exceed 30cm x 30cm. Subject must be miniaturised.

Section 6
Ceramics and Sculpture must not exceed 60 x 60cm base by 185 cm
height and weigh no more than 15 kg.

NB

Hanging of works: Completed works must have secure D ring hooks and
strings must be attached and be strong enough to support the weight of the
painting. Weight Limit 15kg.
Wet/sticky paintings will not be accepted. Diptych/Triptychs must be joined
or have connectors.

Work failing to comply will NOT be hung.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The submitted works must be solely the original work of the artist and not made under tuition. The work must be suitably framed for hanging and not exhibited in a previous Scone Art Prize.

Entry fee per exhibit $10.00 non-refundable.

All entries must be for sale.

The following particulars must be clearly marked on the reverse side of the works: TITLE,
MEDIUM, SECTION, PRICE, NAME, ADDRESS AND METHOD OF RETURN. (refer to labels)

Return costs must be prepaid.

All entries are accepted and displayed at the owner’s risk. The committee accepts no liability for loss, damage, or theft. Any freight insurance must be pre-paid by the artist.

The committee will deduct 25% commission from the indicated price of work sold.

All works will be displayed, if possible, but the committee reserves the right to reject any entry.

Limit of three works per section.
Entrants for the Potter Macqueen Local Prize must be resident in the Upper Hunter or Muswellbrook Shires.

All works to be held for the duration of the exhibition.

The committee reserves the right to have any entry reproduced for the purpose of publicity in the press, on our website, on social media or television.

The decision of the judge will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Should any dispute arise for which no specific rule is laid down, the committee’s decision will be final.

All paintings not personally collected will be returned as per prearranged instructions.

Please remember: All works are to be picked up between
1pm and 4pm Sunday 15th September

No exceptions can be made.

Scone Arts & Craft do not have the ability to store uncollected works.

If you cannot pick up your artwork please arrange for someone to collect.

The artist is deemed to have accepted sole responsibility for ensuring that works submitted by that artist do not infringe any relevant copyright laws.
